Indian Railways provides On board housekeeping service (OBHS) on the trains to attend to service requests from passengers and make your journey more pleasurable. Now that facility has been extended to make it available on-demand. So as a passenger of the train you can place request for cleaning and maintenance of your compartment or toilets etc.

You need to follow the below mentioned guidelines to place a Service Request.

1. From your mobile send SMS to 58888 in the format given below.

REQ Space 10 Digit PNR Number
Ex: REQ 4444225555

2. Your request will be sent to OBHS staff on the train.

3. Once your Request is attended to you should give FEEDBACK so railways can measure the effectiveness of the service provided.
